Great Britain men’s sevens were crushed 43-7 by Fiji in the gold medal match tonight.
Skipper Tom Mitchell, from East Grinstead, will return home with a silver medal but a gold was never on the cards as Fiji dominated the final from start to finish.
Dan Norton got Great Britain’s only try as Fiji earned their first ever Olympic medal in emphatic style.
