AMY WILSON HARDY and Great Britain's sevens women missed out on Olympic medal as they lost 33-10 to Canada in the bronze match at Deodoro tonight.
Worthing’s Wilson Hardy and her team-mates were blown away by a Canada side they beat 22-0 in the pool stages after failing to recover from the disappointment of their 25-7 semi-final loss to New Zealand earlier in the day.
Britain trailed 26-5 at half-time as Canada took full advantage of captain Emily Scarratt's yellow card for a deliberate knock on.
Jasmine Joyce and Danielle Waterman got Britain’s tries.
Wilson Hardy was one of two players sin-binned in the defeat to New Zealand as Britain had to settle for fourth spot.
