Frankie Raymond's loan extension is just one part of a triple boost for Eastbourne Borough.

The Dagenham and Redbridge midfielder has extended his stay at Priory Lane for a third and final month.

Raymond, who joined Daggers from Borough last summer, has made a big impression since returning on loan in November.

Manager Tommy Widdrington is grateful that Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett has allowed him to stay until the middle of February.

Widdrington said: “Frankie has signed for a further month which will exhaust the 93 days we are allowed to have him.

“We are delighted that has happened. He has been a very consistent performer since coming back to the club and he is enjoying his football.”

Widdrington has also been boosted by the return to fitness of Sam Beale and Adam Watts, above, who are likely to be included in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Weston-super-Mare.

Former Fulham defender Watts has been out with a broken foot since the start of November while ex-Brentford left-back Sam Beale has not featured due to a hamstring injury since the game at Chelmsford on December 13.

Both players trained twice this week and their return will compensate for the loss of skipper Ian Simpemba who is suspended for the next two games.

Borough are also still trying to make a couple of additions to the squad. Widdrington added: “We are in talks with two players about joining us but there is nothing definitive on that yet.”
