Eastbourne Borough have made Richard Pacquette their latest signing.

The experienced forward has returned to Priory Lane where he scored 14 goals in 39 league games while they were in Conference premier.

Pacquette began his career at Queens Park Rangers, netting seven goals in 41 games, and has also played for MK Dons and Brentford. He rejoins Borough after a spell at Maidenhead.

Borough boss Tommy Widdrington said: “Whilst not the generic profile of most of my signings and having played for Eastbourne before while in the Conference premier, I felt his age, experience and style of play is something we haven’t really had here for a little while and will give us an extra dimension as a squad. I felt the same before bringing Ian Simpemba to Priory Lane.”

Pacquette is Borough’s fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals on Thursday of former Britsol City goalkeeper Lewis Carey from Tonbridge Angels plus ex-Yeovil Town and Lincoln striker Gavin McCallum from Sutton United.

Left-back Sam Beale was Widdrington’s first signing of the summer following his release by Brentford.
