Albion managers past and present are mourning the death of Ugo Ehiogu.
Tottenham announced this morning Ehiogu, 44, has passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the club's training ground yesterday.
The ex-England, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender turned Academy coach at Spurs graduated with Albion manager Chris Hughton from the FA's 2015 'On The Board' course, designed to help players make the transition from the pitch to the boardroom environment.
Ehiogu, renowned as a gentle giant and for his fitness, coached England under-20's at the World Cup when former Albion boss Peter Taylor was manager.
Albion utility player Liam Rosenior described Ehiogu in a tweet as "intelligent, classy" and a "warrior".
Lee Hendrie, former Albion loan signing and Villa team-mate of Ehiogu, told Sky Sports: "I'm devastated for his family.
"Ugo was such a character. I've been away with him recently on a few trips and he's always been that bubbly character.
"He would help anyone and always passed on to me words of wisdom when I was coming through.
"He was a great guy to have around. It's an absolute shock that he's passed away."
Ugo Ehiogu: a man who stood for all that was good in our game. Intelligent, classy, + a warrior. So sad we've lost him at 44. Rest in peace.
