Adam Hinshelwood has signed a three-year contract extension as Worthing boss.

He is now committed to the club until at the least the summer of 2027.

The former Albion defender is first team manager at Worthing and also oversees the club’s academy.

Worthing are among the leading pack in Vanarama National League south and have progressed to the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time since 1999.

Club chairman Barry Hunter said: “This is a big statement all round. Adam has proven time and time again that he is a winner as well as a first class manager and coach.

“He is building a very good reputation for himself and we are proud to have him as our manager.”

Worthing won the Sussex Senior Cup last season and opened their defence with a 6-2 win over Crawley’s fringe players last night.

They are at home to leaders Yeovil in the league on Saturday.
