Horsham are facing a trip to Barnsley after a sensational FA Cup success.

The Isthmian premier side head to Oakwell in the first round proper on the opening weekend of November.

They overturned a 46-place gulf in league status to beat Dorking Wanderers 2-0 on Saturday.

Horsham are delighted with the draw.

Barnsley are currently third in League One but have lost four out of five home league games since their opening day 7-0 hammering of Port Vale.

Worthing boss Adam Hinshelwood wants the town to be excited by the FA Cup as his side go on a run.

They beat Bath City 2-0 with a brace from former Albion youngster Danny Cashman and will visit Alfreton in the first round.

It is the first time the Rebels have reached this stage since 1999.

Hinshelwood said: “I think I was still at school in 1999!

“It’s massive. Hopefully it galvanises the town.”

Reacting to the draw which sends his side to the team currently tenth in Vanarama National League north, he said: “It wouldn’t have been my first choice but both teams will fancy their chances of progressing further.”
