Uwe Huenemeier can’t wait to hear the Amex roar as Albion go for the title.

The Seagulls are preparing for another full house for the visit of Bristol City on Saturday.

They could cheer the Seagulls to the crown, or even be celebrating from kick-off if Newcastle lose at Cardiff tomorrow.

Albion have urged fans to arrive early for what is expected to be an afternoon and evening of celebration, whether or not the title is secured.

The club are lining up pre-match events and the trophy will be presented after the game if the title has been secured.

Huenemeier, raised on the buzz of the Bundesliga back home in Germany, has told The Argus of the special nature of English support, notably at the Amex.

He said: “The biggest difference is we have these Ultras in Germany who support the teams for 90 minutes no matter what the score is.

“Dortmund have thousands and small teams have maybe 200. Some of them aren’t even looking at the game. They stand with their backs to the pitch using megaphones to start new songs.

“We don’t have stands like that here. The main support comes from behind the North goal but, if the crowd is going louder, the whole stadium joins in “That makes it special in England.”

Albion fans went a bit quiet in the promotion clinching win over Wigan as the packed Latics midfield made life difficult.

Huenemeier said: “Sometimes it gets a bit quiet but they have to support us, it doesn’t mater what the score is. They play their part.”
