Albion's bid to clinch the Championship title is under threat from the player that snubbed them.

Alex Pritchard made an eleventh hour U-turn in the summer transfer window to sign instead for tomorrow night's hosts Norwich City for £8 million.

The former Spurs attacking midfielder has hit form for the Canaries recently after an indifferent debut campaign affected by injuries and non-selection.

Pritchard scored twice in the 7-1 home thrashing of play-offs bound Reading earlier this month.

But he will be playing for a side 29 points and seven places below Albion in the table.

Albion and ex-Norwich boss Chris Hughton told The Argus: "We've all in the game, whether players or managers, made good decisions and bad decisions.

"I don't know his feelings. I know he is in the team at the moment and playing well. He probably hasn't had the run of regular games that he thought he was going to get, but he is showing at the moment what a good player he is."
