Chris Hughton said Albion got what they deserved at Ipswich tonight.
The Seagulls boss agreed a 0-0 draw was a fair result from a dull contest at Portman Road.
And he had sympathy for Dale Stephens, yellow-carded for dissent and then booked again for a foul in the 82nd minute.
Hughton said: "There wasn‘t one team who had a clear opportunity.
"I suppose as the side away from home, when you are not at your best, you have got to look at a draw as a good result.
"It wasn‘t the best of games. They are a side who press very well and made it difficult for us to play the passing game we would have liked to have played."
He added: "I thought the referee let a lot go. It was very difficult for Dale."
