THE weather forecast may not quite match up to last weekend’s brilliant sunshine but there is still plenty of fun to be had across Sussex this Easter weekend.

We have done the hard work for you and drawn up a list of some of the many attractions and activities on offer across the county.

  • Hot Cross Buns

START the Easter break with a treat by getting in line for the best buns in Brighton.

Crowds will no doubt be queueing down the street to get their hands on the tasty hot cross buns from renowned bakers Ravens

When: Good Friday, queues start from about 6.30am until they’re gone

  • Mod and Rockers

Roll down The Lanes with the Mod and Rockers.

Scooters will be show in Dukes Lane on Sunday from 12pm onwards.

Have your photo taken on the scooters and enjoy refreshments and exclusive Easter Sunday offers.

Holly’s Kitchen will be turning the music up in the square.

  • World Marbles Championships

Don’t lose your marbles at the quirky annual World Marbles Championships, which attract players from all over the world.

Two teams of six take part in each heat.

The Greyhound has a purpose-built platform for the championship.

  • Harlem Globetrotters tour

The Harlem Globetrotters are on their 2017 World Tour.

Get a “magic pass upgrade” which includes a 30-minute pre-show event and photos and autographs with the team.

  • Family roller disco

Get your skates on for Southwick Leisure Centre’s family roller disco.

Take advantage of professional instructions and get to grips with the disco before the speed limit is lifted for the pros.

When: Saturday, from 4.30pm, disco starts 5.15pm, speed limit taken off at 6.30pm when children are advised to leave

  • Music and fireworks at the Bandstand

There will be fireworks and live music at the Eastbourne Bandstand on Sunday.

The Easter concert is a tradition and Eastbourne Silver Band is kicking off the entertainment season.

The band makes regular appearances in the summer.

  • Bay City Rollers in concert

Join the Tartan Army – the Bay City Rollers are back.

Three of the original five, Les McKeown, Alan Longmuir and Stuart Wood, have come together to perform once again.

  • Leah McFall performs live

After finding success on BBC’s The Voice, Leah McFall is back touring with her independently released music, a blend of new R’n’B and pop.

Over 14s only and under 16s to be accompanied by an adult.

  • Easter bunny hunt

Find the Easter bunny before the T-Rex gets you.

Easter bunnies have been hidden around Paradise Park dinosaur attraction and if you find them all you win a prize.

Other activities include crafts, mosaic workshops and face painting.

  • Easter fun at Arundel Castle

Arundel Castle is recreating the crafts, weapons, training and battles of the 12th century.

There will be a story teller, falconry, have-a-go-archery and combat demonstrations.

  • Chicks, lambs and Easter Eggs

Cuddle chicks and bottle feed the lambs at Fishers Farm Park.

There is an Easter egg hunt around the park and even the possibility of witnessing a lamb being born.

  • Science and the stars

The Observatory Science Centre is holding tours of the telescopes and science shows alongside the existing exhibits.

  • Easter fun at the Priory

Michelham Priory offers a fun-packed activities including making Easter bonnets, face painting, crafts, children’s play area, dress up, trails and entertainment from children’s performer Crazee Hazee.

  • Feed the lambs

Meet 100 new lambs at Middle Farm which also offers animal feeding, handling, cow milking and a cider barn. You may witness lambs being born and help bottle feed them.

  • Easter trail

Follow the Easter trail at West Dean Gardens.

Activities include making an egg carton Easter bunny, an Easter riddle, guess the vegetable, crosswords and an egg hunt.

  • Fun and games at the Fort

Newhaven Fort is hosting games and crafts with edible prizes at its activity centre.

Children under 12 can play in the playground on the fortress.

  • Easter Egg hunt around the Park

Sheffield Park is holding an Easter egg hunt around the park and gardens. It begins as soon as you leave reception and a tasty feast awaits you on the grounds.

Where: Sheffield Park and Garden, Uckfield

  • Horse racing with the children at Plumpton

Take the family to Plumpton Racecourse where accompanied children go racing for free.

There will be a fun fair, face painting, climbing wall, derby horse hoppers and Sunday and Monday visitors are entered into a prize draw.

  • The world's most famous steam engine

The Flying Scotsman is flying to the Bluebell Railway this weekend.

Have a picnic and watch the passing trains and while you’re there why not visit the museum and loco sheds.

  • A family adventure of the sea

Take the family to the Sea Life aquarium where there is a variety of marine animals and games to entertain.

As well as letting you touch and stroke some of the creatures, there are five different zones to discover and explore.

  • Outdoor activity

Out of Bounds is an indoor and outdoor activity centre that has something for every age to enjoy from soft play to climbing walls.

Attractions include adventure golf, ten pin bowling and laser tag.

  • Trail around the gardens

Borde Hill Gardens has a daily trail around the garden with clues and treats to collect as well as different activities each day including a mad hatters tea party, arts and crafts and balloon modelling.

When: All weekend 11am to 3pm

Where: Borde Hill Gardens, near Haywards Heath

Cost: £5.50 for a child and £7.80 for an adult

  • Easter trail and cooking

Weald and Downland Open Air Museum is holding a range of activities.

They vary each day and include an Easter trail, cooking in the Tudor kitchen, egg painting, bonnet making and a bonnet parade on Easter Monday.

When: All weekend, 10.30am to 6pm.

Where: Downland Museum, Singleton

Cost: Adults, children £6

  • Easter egg hunts at the Fortress

There are Easter egg hunts at the Redoubt Fortress until Sunday plus lots of Easter arts and crafts.

When: 10am to 5pm
